Reading for pleasure can reduce stress levels, increase relaxation and a sense of wellbeing, and here at William Harvey Library our Reading Group provides an ideal way to read new books, carve out a little bit of ‘me’ time, and meet other staff members who love books.
When? We meet monthly, currently online via MS Teams, usually at lunchtimes at the start of the month.
How do I get a book? We borrow sets of books from the public library, so it’s free to join in, just collect a copy from the library. If you’d prefer to buy your own, or purchase a title for your ereader device, go for it!
Who? We’re always happy to welcome new members, so drop us a line at Library@geh.nhs.uk and we’ll invite you to the next meeting. All members of staff are welcome, we have attendees from all walks of Trust life.
What have you read? We publish reviews of our reads on our library blog. Take a look at some of our previous reads here.
Our book for December 2021 is Gloucester Crescent by William Miller. Find out more about the book here.
